We were searching for
deep pocket comforter sets online the other day, specifically to see
if there was such a thing. The closest we could find after looking
through all the major online retailers were comforter sets that were
part of an ensemble which included, for example, a king size deep
pocket fitted sheet, a pair of pillow cases and a coordinated
comforter set.
A comforter set made specifically for today's deep pocket mattresses
makes sense. In the old days, if you had an unusually large size
mattress such as a feather bed, or added a mattress pad of some
sort, you had to be creative with your sheets and comforters. You
quite often had to do a lot of adjusting and tugging!

retailers are keeping up with the trend; providing enough selection

sheets are 18, 20,21, 22, and 24 inches respectively. They tend to
have higher thread counts as well, with some sheet sets running at
600 TC.

flannel, satin, and cotton percale. These are the most comfortable,
most popular, and most requested fabrics online.
So as of this writing, there are no deep pocket comforter sets per
se. But what a wonderful opportunity for an enterprising online
bedding and linen retailer! Added to a carefully selected line of
other deep pocket sheets and bedding accessories, you may have a
winner... they will be the best fit for what is currently available.
However, the deep pocket bedding industry shows much promise in the
months and years ahead; if they want to keep up with today's trends
towards bigger mattresses and toppers, they WILL design a comforter
made specifically for your deep pocket, extra thick mattress needs!
