Put Your Mind At Ease With The Right
Choice In Child Bedding
To get the most out of child
bedding, make sure to include safety, comfort, durability and your
child's interests when making your final decisions.
Safety is of utmost importance when choosing child bedding for your
infant/baby's crib. Remember, no pillows! A fitted sheet is really all
you need, believe it or not. The safest way to put your baby to sleep
in a crib is with one fitted sheet, no bumper pad, no comforters or
blankets; use sleeper pajamas, sleeper sacks, or an infant sleeping bag
instead. Look for anything that has arm holes or sleeves, and no
strings! This will keep your baby warm, comfortable, and safe. If you
buy a whole set, use the blankets and comforters as "play mats", or save
them until the child is 2 to 3 years old.
For comfort and durability, 100% cotton (or knit/jersey) will surely be
your best best (and easiest to care for!) And, luckily, this is the
least expensive of decent bedding fabrics. A good quality soft flannel
can be super comfortable too, but, don't buy cheap here or it may pill
up pretty quickly.
If you go with the "bed-in-a-bag" child bedding, we have found quality
and durability to be directly proportional to price (except in the case
of a good sale or quality clearance items). If price is less of an
issue, then buy your "set" separately so you get the highest thread
count, the only necessary pieces, and comfortable bedding your money can
buy.
From toddlers to pre-teens, child bedding comes in some fantastic
themes, designs, and colors! Below you will find the most popular
choices for child bedding; perhaps these will inspire a theme or design
idea for you...
children's dog bedding
sea life bedding
yellow butterfly child bedding
island surf themes/designs
nintendo child bedding
children's animal bedding
jungle print designs and colors
mermaid bedding
golf themed bedding
Thomas the Tank
children's fairy bedding
horse theme bedding
Hawaiian
or, bugs theme child bedding
Of course, child bedding will include anything from quilts to duvets,
comforters to blankets, sheets and pillow cases to shams, and dust
ruffles to throw pillows. Most children's bedding comes in the standard
twin size, but, online is a great place to find the "atypical" child
bedding sizes; full, queen, king, or even waterbed sizes. These less
common sizes for children's bedding are far less frequently found in
your local retail stores!
Last, but not least, things to really consider when choosing children's bedding are
your child's favorite games, colors, activities, characters, movies, or
animals. Unless you are buying for your infant, your easiest "shopping
experience" will be accomplished by putting a chair next to you, in
front of the computer, and let your child pick out some of their
favorites.
You, of course, will have the final say in price, quality, and a
"durable theme". If it is too specifically trendy, they may outgrow this
interest in 6 months. So, together, choose carefully. But, bringing your
child into the decision will give them a sense of control and ownership
over the decisions being made for THEIR most important space in the
house.
After all, their bedroom is their personal comfort and interest-based
space... it is the first thing they see when they wake up and the last
thing they see at night. Colors, designs, patterns, and themes could
make or break them when it comes to peaceful sleep!
We truly hope you enjoy the fantastic selections of child bedding you
will find right here online through our featured merchants! We hope you
have fun browsing for the bedding that will be best for you and your
child's desires.
