Flannel waterbed sheets
are described by their owners as soft, snuggly and cozy. Made from
wool or 100% cotton, these comfortable sheets have some nice
features in addition to their comfort qualities.
A typical water bed sheet is "napped"... sometimes on one side and
often on both. Since water beds are so unique compared to regular
mattresses, the most common problem is getting the sheets to stay
on. A triangular pocket is sewed into the corners to keep the sheet
from coming off.
Flannel sheets for waterbeds are made slightly oversized to account
for the shrinkage that occurs after washing.
Since the quality of flannel fabric is determined by weight instead
of thread count (the way most bedding is measured in), you will see
ounces per square yard when you browse the product descriptions of
flannel sheets.
The standard bedding sizes remain like all other bedding; twin,
queen, king, and cal king. Colors vary greatly, with greater
selections in the late fall when bedding outlets & factories stock
up on flannel.
Most flannel is imported.
A flannel waterbed sheet is almost always included as part of a set.
A minimal set includes a top sheet, fitted bottom sheet and a pair
of pillow cases.
